Jem and Stephen’s journey into property investment commenced in May 2023. Having followed our Instagram account for a few weeks, they were intrigued by the success stories we shared. Residing in New South Wales, they were interested in exploring various markets across Australia but were uncertain about where to begin, aside from continuing to save their money.
In late May, after receiving a DM from Jemima, we arranged a Discovery Call with her and Stephen. During our conversation, we thoroughly reviewed their financial situation. They had $6,000 in savings and $85,000 invested in Vanguard shares. They recognised that leveraging the bank’s money to invest in property could significantly enhance their wealth.
After careful consideration, Jem and Stephen decided to engage with Propell in June 2023. We immediately commenced a finance review to ensure they were correctly structured for their property purchase. Our Acquisitions Team then devised a strategy, identifying the most suitable location for their first investment property.
In mid July 2023, Jem and Stephen took a significant step forward by executing contracts on an under-market-value property in Southeast Queensland, purchased for $643,000.
By late July 2024, construction of the new dwelling was completed, and tenants had moved into the property. The bank’s valuation of the property came in at $787,000, reflecting an impressive $144,000 capital growth within just 12 months of signing the contracts! Jem and Stephen’s strategic decision to invest in property with our guidance paid off significantly, setting them on a strong path towards financial freedom.
