Founded by Managing Director, Michael Pell, in 2016, Propell Property, formerly known as Independent Property Planners Australia, has morphed and grown to service thousands across Australia and internationally to purchase quality Australian investment properties. Originating in Western Australia, Michael and his wife Karen Lacheta-Pell, Leading lady of InvestHer, have lived across our amazing landscape; from Western Australia to Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane; now settling at home on the Gold Coast.
Propell Property was founded by Michael after growing up in the real estate landscape. His father, Tom Pell, a renowned real estate agent in Perth, developed a passion for property from an early age. After his career initially spent in the house and land sales space, Michael craved more authenticity and transparency in his next chapter. From there, Propell was founded; providing property investment buyers advocacy services that are considerate and tailored to the individual’s situation, whether it is their first property purchase or fifth.

What type of property should I invest in?
Property investment should be tailored and considerate of your financial situation and strategy. Whether you are a first time or seasoned investor, each property should be strategically selected to ensure you are able to grow your wealth. Whether this strategy involves a duplex, apartment, or negatively/positively gearing the property comes down to your specific circumstances.
Typically, apartments have a higher yield, but lower capital growth. Meaning that while this may give you more cashflow in the short-term, there could be less of a capital gain in the future. Whereas a detached house with a land component is essentially the opposite; lower yield, higher capital growth. Meaning that the property may require you to chip in a little bit at the start, but there can be a substantial gain in the future.
How much deposit do I need to purchase an investment property?
Gone are the days of needing a 20% deposit to purchase an investment property; currently a standard deposit is 10% of the purchase price. This enables you to keep more of an equity or cash buffer aside to continue propelling your wealth into a second, third, or fourth investment property.
